We Won't Pay!!!!!
Here is the issue that we all face:
The issue that we the homeowners residing at Woodgate Farms are protesting is the pending Sewer and Water assessment being levied by Cuyahoga County. We feel that the builders did not adequately disclose to many of the residents the existence of the assessment, nor that it was unpaid at the time of purchase, or the amount (approximately $4,500.00) that each resident would have to pay. There is also a question why the title searches at time of deed transfer did not detect that an assessment was pending. While the majority of residents have no issue with the legality of the assessment itself, nor an issue with Cuyahoga County assessing the titled owners of the assessed property (Woodgate Farms homeowners), they feel strongly that since the group was not properly informed of the pending assessment, none of them should have to pay.
