Meeting Update
For those that were not at the meeting Monday night, the following is a brief synopsis:
· The budget was presented, and the 2005 fee’s are $290. Fee’s will be due by the end of January, and invoices will be issued in the next week or so.
· Trash collection fees will be $141/year with the first quarter due with the HOA fee’s.
· The development agreed to donate $20 for the initial legal defense fund for signs and attorney fee’s. Those that have not donated will be billed with the HOA fee’s.
· If you are interested in joining a committee, please advise a Trustee this week. These include:
§ Finance & Budget
§ Oversight & Compliance
§ Design & Review
§ Landscape and Maintenance
§ Fund Raising & Social
· If you were not at the meeting, please send your e-mail address to Bob Stone at ogden@apk.net. All communication will be handled via e-mail if possible.
· We are also addressing the issues of Trash removal fee’s and snow removal fee’s.
Assessment Update
· We are being assessed $4405.92 for the Shady Road sewer project.
· We have engaged an attorney to represent us in our effort.
· The County is extending the entire development an extension until April 1st, 2005.
· Each of us needs to be prepared to handle the assessment by then if a settlement is not reached.
· We need each of you to e-mail the Trustee’s a letter describing what you were told about the assessment, and any other items you perceived as deceptive sales tactics. The attorney needs the ammunition ASAP!!!

· We are filing a law suit against Ryan Homes on Tuesday, December 28th, 2004.
· We are protesting Ryan Homes on Wednesday, December 29th at the Berea site.
NOW IS THE TIME -
We need everyone to turn out for this protest. We absolutely need the support of each homeowner. Bring everyone you can; siblings, cousins, parents, friends and anyone owing you a favor. The more people, the more we demonstrate how committed we are to winning this fight. We want Ryan Homes to know WE MEAN BUSINESS! They need to know we will protest until they pay the assessment in full. The media will be present, so the more people, the better the coverage, the more impact we have in letting Ryan Homes know their reputation is at stake.
WE WILL WIN IF WE TAKE ACTION NOW, AND TOGETHER. PLEASE E-MAIL US IF YOU WILL BE COMMITTED AND ATTEND THE PROTEST WEDNESDAY, 12:00 NOON at Berea. The directions are:
Left on Shady, Left on Usher, Right on Bagley
Turn left on Lewis, and Right onto Nobottom Road
Sandstone Ridge is on the right.
We won the extension because we stuck together, and hit quickly with numbers. We are on the right side of the issue, and if we stay together and make the sacrifice, we will win. This is our time to let Ryan Homes know that deception does not pay. This is our chance to help others avoid the same fate. Most important, it is our hard earned money we need to fight for!
